Terms of Use — Sketch Focus

The short version

Use Sketch Focus to actually focus — not to break things. An optional account enables backup, sync, purchases, and connected Atelier features. The app, included artwork, and unlock system are ours; your personal focus data remains yours. Do not reverse-engineer the app, disrupt rooms, impersonate or harass people, or treat the app blocker as safety software.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sketch Focus, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all versions of Sketch Focus on iOS and Android, including future updates and features.

2. About Sketch Focus

Sketch Focus is a focus timer app developed by Core Tattva, based in Sydney, Australia. You set a duration, optionally block distracting apps, and a hand-drawn sketch progresses stroke by stroke as the session runs. Completed sessions unlock new sketches, themes, and streaks.

3. Account & Login

An account is optional. The core timer and local features work without sign-in. If you choose to create an account, you may sign in with Google or Apple to back up supported completed artwork and player progress, restore entitlements, and use connected features such as Atelier. You are responsible for your account and for activity that occurs through it.

4. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By creating an account you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that are used to abuse, impersonate, or harass others.

5. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account from within the app or request help at dev@coretattva.com. Account deletion removes the account and associated cloud profile, backed-up progress, completed-artwork records, and connected-feature records covered by the deletion process. Local data on the current device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Limited records may be retained where required for security, accounting, disputes, or law.

6. Pricing & Purchases

Sketch Focus is free to download and offers optional subscriptions and one-time purchases, including Sketch Focus Pro and selected customisations. Available products, prices, trial terms, renewal periods, and cancellation terms are shown by the App Store or Google Play before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your store account. Apple or Google processes payment; Core Tattva does not receive your complete card or bank details. RevenueCat helps us manage receipts and entitlements.

7. Permitted Use

You may use Sketch Focus for your own personal, non-commercial focus and productivity. You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app; (b) bypass or tamper with the app blocker, purchase, entitlement, matchmaking, or unlock systems; (c) automate or fake completed sessions, leaderboard results, room activity, or rewards; (d) disrupt rooms, impersonate, threaten, or harass another person; (e) reproduce, resell, or redistribute included sketches or app content commercially; or (f) use the app unlawfully.

8. App Blocking Feature

Sketch Focus offers an optional "Block Apps" feature designed to help you stay focused during a session. It is a self-imposed productivity tool — not a parental-control, security, or screen-time enforcement product. You acknowledge that no app blocker is fool-proof, that the operating system ultimately controls which apps run on your device, and that Core Tattva is not liable for distractions, missed notifications, or activity that occurs outside an active session.

iOS

On iOS, the blocker uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time framework. Your selected apps are stored as opaque tokens issued by iOS — Sketch Focus cannot see which apps you picked.

Android

On Android, the blocker uses the Usage Access and Display Over Other Apps permissions to detect the foreground app and render the blocking overlay. These permissions are used only during an active session.

9. Intellectual Property

All content within Sketch Focus — the interface, the hand-drawn sketches, the unlock system, themes, artwork, and branding — is owned by Core Tattva or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the sketches or app content without our written permission.

10. Atelier, Profiles & Your Content

When using Atelier, other signed-in members may see your display name, username or character, room status, live progress, and leaderboard placement. Choose profile information you are comfortable sharing. You retain ownership of original content you create. You grant Core Tattva a limited licence to host, process, display, and transmit profile, room, progress, and user-created content only as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and improve the connected features. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect members, or comply with law.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sketch Focus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Core Tattva makes no warranties, express or implied, that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. The app blocker, sync service, and unlock system are provided on a best-effort basis and may be affected by operating-system updates, device settings, or network conditions outside our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Core Tattva and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including loss of focus sessions, streaks, unlocks, productivity, or data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sketch Focus — including any optional account — if you breach these terms or use the app in a way that harms other users, Core Tattva, or third parties. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it or deleting your account.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Sketch Focus shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. If the changes are material, we will also surface a notice in the app. Continued use of Sketch Focus after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
