Sketch Focus

The short version
Sketch Focus is local-first: the core timer, session history, settings, and app-blocking choices stay on your device by default. An account is optional for backup and sync, and is required for connected features such as Atelier. When you choose those features, we process only the data needed to provide them. You can delete your account from inside the app.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Core Tattva handles information when you use Sketch Focus. It covers the local focus experience and the optional online features in the current iOS and Android releases.
2. Data stored on your device
Focus sessions, completed artwork, timer preferences, streak and progress state, customisation choices, and app-blocking selections are stored locally. You can use the core timer without creating an account. Removing the app may delete local data that has not been backed up.
3. Optional account and cloud backup
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an account identifier and information the provider makes available, which may include your email address, name, and profile image. You may also choose a display name and username. Cloud backup can store your player progress, unlocks, customisation choices, and completed-artwork metadata such as sketch, duration, and completion time. Local data remains available when you sign out.
4. Atelier and community features
Atelier requires an account because rooms update in real time. When you create, join, or use a room, we process room codes and settings, selected sketches, display name, Buddy or character choice, member status, progress, session timing, and presence information. Community matchmaking also records limited operational events used to place members into rooms and keep rooms reliable. Weekly leaderboards use your display name and aggregated focus time. Other signed-in room members may see your display name, character, progress, and room status.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Optional purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Core Tattva does not receive your complete card or bank details. RevenueCat helps us manage product offerings, receipts, customer identifiers, and entitlement status so purchases can be restored and Pro access can follow a signed-in account.
6. Why we process this information
We use information to authenticate accounts, back up and sync progress, run real-time focus rooms and matchmaking, show leaderboards, manage purchases and entitlements, prevent abuse, maintain service reliability, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Service providers
Sketch Focus uses Supabase for account authentication, cloud storage, database, and real-time room services; Google and Apple for optional sign-in; RevenueCat for purchases and entitlement management; and Apple App Store or Google Play for payment processing. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. App-blocking permissions
The optional Block Apps feature uses operating-system permissions only to enforce an active focus session.
iOS
Sketch Focus uses Apple Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks. Selected apps and categories are represented by opaque tokens issued by iOS; Core Tattva cannot read which specific apps you selected. These selections remain on your device.
Android
Usage Access lets Sketch Focus determine whether a selected app is in the foreground during an active session, and Display Over Other Apps lets it show the blocking screen. Sketch Focus does not upload your installed-app list or keep a history of apps you open.
9. Retention, control, and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Cloud account and backup data remains while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in the app; this removes the account and associated cloud records covered by the deletion process, while local data stays on that device unless you remove it separately. Some limited records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, security, or law.
10. Security and international processing
We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect connected-feature data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
11. Children’s privacy
Sketch Focus is not directed to children under 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in their country. Users below that age should not create an account or use connected community features without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes or legal requirements evolve. We will post the revised version here with a new update date and provide additional notice in the app when a change is material.
