01 / My birth chart looks off
Most chart issues come down to birth time and place. Even a 10-minute difference can change the rising sign and house cusps. Double-check your birth time on your birth certificate, and confirm the city/timezone match. You can edit your birth details from the chart screen at any time and the entire chart will recompute.
02 / I do not know my exact birth time
Use 12:00 noon as a reasonable default — this minimizes house and ascendant error. Sun, moon, and most planetary positions will still be accurate. If you can request your full birth record from your local registry, you will unlock more precise rising sign, house, and Vedic dasha calculations.
03 / Alter Ego (the AI guide) is slow or stalled
Alter Ego runs entirely on your device, so the first response after launch can take a few seconds while the model warms up. Subsequent responses are faster. If it stays stuck, force-quit and reopen the app. Lower-end devices may need a few extra seconds for longer prompts — keep questions specific and one topic at a time for the best results.
04 / Palm reading not detecting my palm
Use even, diffuse light — avoid harsh shadows or direct overhead bulbs. Hold your hand flat with fingers slightly apart, fill the frame, and let the camera focus before capturing. Clean the camera lens. The palm reader processes the image entirely on-device, so a clear, well-lit photo makes the biggest difference.
05 / Forecasts feel generic — how do I get more personal insight?
Daily and weekly forecasts use your full natal chart, but the prose is intentionally general. For deeper, chart-specific insight, ask Alter Ego — it has your full birth chart context and can answer questions about specific transits, houses, or themes. The Saturn's Crucible (Sade Sati) and Planetary Hours screens also give chart-aware timing.
06 / Notifications are not arriving
Check that notifications are enabled for Altego in your device settings. On Android, also disable battery optimization for Altego so daily affirmations and planetary hour alerts can fire on schedule. On iOS, make sure Focus or Do Not Disturb modes aren't suppressing them. Notifications are scheduled locally — there is no push server.
07 / Where is my data stored?
Everything — birth details, journal entries, chart context, AI conversations, tarot history, palm reading sessions — is stored exclusively on your device. Nothing is uploaded. If you uninstall Altego, all of this is permanently deleted because no cloud copy ever existed.
08 / Can I move my data to a new phone?
Because Altego stores everything locally and never syncs, transferring data is currently a manual re-entry. We're exploring an encrypted local backup option for a future release. In the meantime, write down your birth details (and the details of any compatibility connections you have added) so they are easy to re-enter on a new device.
09 / I want to delete my data
Use the in-app reset to clear specific data (chart, journal, tarot history) from Settings. To wipe everything, clear Altego app storage in your device settings or uninstall the app. There is nothing to delete on our side because no data was ever transmitted to us.
10 / Bug reports and feature requests
Email is the fastest way. Send a short note to dev@coretattva.com describing what you saw, what you expected, your device model, and the OS version. Screenshots or screen recordings help us debug quickly.
11 / Refunds
Refunds for paid downloads are handled by Apple and Google directly through your App Store or Play Store account. We cannot issue refunds on their behalf, but we are happy to help troubleshoot anything that is getting in the way.
