The short version

Void is free to use. No account required. The tuner and training tools are educational aids — not a substitute for a calibrated reference, a tuning technician, or a music teacher. Don't reverse-engineer the app or redistribute its content. Microphone audio is processed on-device only and never recorded.

01 / Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Void: Tuner & Learn, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all versions of Void on iOS and Android, including future updates or new features.

02 / About Void

Void is a music toolkit developed by Core Tattva, based in Sydney, Australia. The app provides a chromatic tuner, strobe tuner, tone generator, interval training, pitch training, chord libraries, and vocal pitch learning for guitar, bass, ukulele, orchestral strings, banjo, mandolin, and harp. The microphone is used on-device only to detect pitch in real time; no audio is ever recorded.

03 / No Account Required

Void does not require an account, login, or sign-up. You can install and use every feature immediately without providing any personal information.

04 / Pricing & Purchases

Void is currently free to use, with no ads. If we introduce optional paid features or in-app purchases in the future, pricing and billing terms will be clearly disclosed in the App Store or Google Play before any charge. All payments are processed by Apple or Google; Core Tattva never receives your card or bank details.

05 / Permitted Use

You may use Void for your own personal, educational, and non-commercial music practice. You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app; (b) reproduce, resell, or redistribute the app, its tone-generator output, chord diagrams, or training content commercially; (c) use the app to harass others or to violate applicable laws.

06 / Tuning Accuracy

Void is an educational tuner. Pitch detection accuracy depends on your device microphone, ambient noise, the instrument, and the operating system's audio pipeline. For professional studio, broadcast, or instrument-setup work, always cross-check against a calibrated reference. Core Tattva is not liable for any consequence of relying on Void as a sole tuning reference.

07 / Learning Content

Interval training, pitch training, chord diagrams, and vocal exercises are provided for personal practice and exploration. They are not a replacement for a qualified music teacher, vocal coach, or formal training programme. Use within your own physical limits — stop if practice causes vocal strain or discomfort.

08 / Intellectual Property

All content within Void — including the interface, chord diagrams, training exercises, audio engine, and branding — is owned by Core Tattva or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

09 / Disclaimer of Warranties

Void is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Core Tattva makes no warranties, express or implied, that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. Audio analysis may be affected by device hardware, microphone quality, ambient noise, and operating-system audio routing outside our control.

10 / Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Core Tattva and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including loss of data, missed performance opportunities, instrument damage, or hearing-related consequences. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11 / Hearing Safety

The tone generator and tuner can produce sustained sine waves and reference tones. Always start at a low volume, especially when using headphones, and adjust gradually. You are responsible for protecting your hearing — Core Tattva is not liable for hearing damage caused by inappropriate playback volumes.

12 / Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Void shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

13 / Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
