01 / Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ganesha: Wisdom of Life, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all versions of Ganesha on iOS and Android, including future updates or new features.

02 / About Ganesha

Ganesha: Wisdom of Life is a Hindu spirituality and prayer app developed by Core Tattva, based in Sydney, Australia. The app provides daily prayers, mantra japa counters, Nama Japa with painted-bead mala visualisations, aarti audio, panchang for 14+ years, the Vedic Knowledge Path, Purana and Gita study, festival tracking, and a 9-deity progression system across 17 languages.

03 / No Account Required

Ganesha does not require an account, email, or sign-up. You can use every feature immediately without providing any personal information. The app runs fully offline.

04 / Pricing & Purchases

Ganesha is currently free to use, with no ads. If we introduce optional paid features or in-app purchases in the future, pricing and billing terms will be clearly disclosed in the App Store or Google Play before any charge. All payments are processed by Apple or Google; Core Tattva never receives your card or bank details.

05 / Religious & Cultural Content

Ganesha is a devotional companion — not a substitute for guru, acharya, or pandita guidance. Prayers, mantras, Sahasranama, Vedic Knowledge Path lessons, Purana excerpts, Gita study material, Vrat Kathas, panchang timings, and festival explanations are provided for personal study, remembrance, and practice. We have done our best to honour the source material, but interpretations vary across sampradayas and regions. For ritual decisions, important life events, or initiation, consult a qualified teacher or priest in your tradition.

06 / Panchang Accuracy

Panchang calculations (Rahu Kaal, Choghadiya, Tithi, Nakshatra, sunrise/sunset, festival dates) use pre-computed astronomical data and are provided for general reference. They may differ slightly from regional panchangs (e.g., Drik vs Vakya) and from the panchang issued by your local temple or astrologer. For muhurta, jatakarma, or other ritual purposes, defer to your traditional authority.

07 / Permitted Use

You may use Ganesha for your own personal devotional practice, study, and reflection. You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app; (b) re-upload, redistribute, or resell the bundled audio (mantras, aarti, narrations), Sanskrit verses, translations, or artwork; (c) modify the content in ways that misrepresent traditional teachings; or (d) use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or denigrates any religion or community.

08 / Intellectual Property

While many scriptural texts and mantras are part of the public spiritual heritage of humanity, the specific selections, translations, recordings, artwork, painted-bead mala visualisations, deity progression design, and interface within Ganesha are owned by Core Tattva or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

09 / Your Data

All prayer progress, mantra counts, quiz results, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data. Core Tattva has no copy and cannot restore it.

10 / Disclaimer of Warranties

Ganesha is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Core Tattva makes no warranties, express or implied, that the app, panchang data, mantras, or translations will be error-free, uninterrupted, complete, or suitable for any particular ritual or scholarly purpose. We welcome corrections at the email below.

11 / Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Core Tattva and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including loss of prayer history, mantra counts, progression, or any other data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12 / Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Ganesha shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

13 / Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
