01 / How do I set my Ishta Devta?

From the home screen, open Settings and pick your Ishta Devta from the 9 supported deities (Ganesha, Shiva, Krishna, Vishnu, Hanuman, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Rama). The home screen, daily prayers, and aarti will reorder around your chosen deity. You can change this at any time.

02 / My panchang times look wrong

Panchang timings (sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kaal, Choghadiya) depend on your selected city. Open Panchang → Change City and pick the closest city to your current location. The app uses pre-loaded panchang data — there is no GPS or live network call. If your city is missing, email us and we'll add it.

03 / Mantra count reset itself

Mantra japa counts persist locally on your device. If they reset unexpectedly, the most common cause is the OS clearing app storage to free space, or a force-stop on Android. Open the mala counter to view your current and historical counts — your full japa history is preserved separately from the active counter.

04 / Aarti or mantra audio is silent

Make sure your media volume (not ringer) is up, and that Bluetooth output isn't routing audio to a disconnected device. All audio is bundled with the app — no streaming. If a specific track fails, try toggling the audio cache in Settings; the app will rebuild it from the bundled assets.

05 / I cannot unlock the next deity path

Deity progression uses a learn-first mastery gate (60% on the deity quiz) and a 21-day consistent practice gate. Both must be met. The progress screen shows exactly which gate is pending and how many days of consistent practice you have logged.

06 / A festival or vrat is missing

Ganesha ships 14+ years of panchang data sourced from drikpanchang.com, including major regional Marathi festivals. If a festival you observe is missing, email us with the festival name, date, and tradition — we add new entries in updates.

07 / Notifications are not arriving

Check that notifications are enabled for Ganesha in your device settings. On Android, also disable battery optimization for Ganesha so festival alerts and prayer reminders fire on schedule. On iOS, make sure Focus or Do Not Disturb modes aren't suppressing them. Notifications are scheduled locally — there is no push server.

08 / How do I switch language?

Open Settings → Language and pick from the 17 supported languages (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Nepali, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Chinese Simplified, Japanese, Thai). The change applies immediately to UI text. Devanagari and chant text always render in Sanskrit/Devanagari for liturgical accuracy.

09 / My quiz scores are not saving

Quiz progress is stored locally per deity. If a score is not saving, make sure you complete the entire quiz — partial attempts are not retained. The Vedic Knowledge Path module unlocks the next module only after all quizzes in the current module pass the threshold.

10 / I lost my data after reinstalling

Because Ganesha stores everything locally and never syncs to the cloud, uninstalling permanently deletes your prayer history, mantra counts, deity progression, and bookmarks. There is no server copy. We are exploring an opt-in local backup option for a future release.

11 / How do I delete my data?

You can reset specific sections (mantra counts, quiz progress, bookmarks) from Settings. To wipe everything, clear Ganesha app storage in your device settings or uninstall the app. Nothing exists on our side because nothing is ever transmitted.

12 / Bug reports and feature requests

Email is the fastest way. Send a short note to dev@coretattva.com describing what you saw, what you expected, your device model, and the OS version. Screenshots help a lot.

13 / Refunds

Refunds for paid downloads are handled by Apple and Google directly through your App Store or Play Store account. We cannot issue refunds on their behalf, but we are happy to help troubleshoot anything that is getting in the way.
